The Station Coffee Logo
Problem:
Design a logo for a made-up company that will be relevant and memorable to the audience.

Solution:
I created a direction board for the logo so that I could get a feel of what the company would be like. I went with a nature theme for The Station Coffee logo. The direction board included a color palette created from Adobe Color and images from Unsplash.com. Then I sketched 30 different ideas for the logo. From those sketches I chose three different ideas and turned them into three compositions of the logo. After some critique from my classmates I dialed it down to one idea and finalized my design. The final product consists of the final logo composition; one version in black and white and the other in color, along with a business card, an envelope, and a letterhead.

The Station Coffee App Prototype
Problem:
Design an app prototype for a coffee shop that can be used for delivery and pick up
Solution:
The app gives customers the option to place an order for delivery or pick up. It has a menu full of several options to choose from, a reviews page, and even a points system. I first started off with designing a style guide and wireframes so I could get an idea of what I wanted the app to look like. I chose the colors from the color palette that I used for the logo of the coffee shop. I mostly used the green and blue colors since they went well together. Then I designed the app prototype in Adobe XD. The app design went through several iterations as I received feedback which only made the prototype better. For example I added “go back” buttons in the second version, but in the third iteration I was advised to make the buttons smaller and a different color so they did not appear so prominent.
