Servus Slab Type Specimen Book
Problem:
Design a type specimen book that includes two made up numbers
Solution:
I first had to design two completely new numbers that follow the numbers zero through nine. The numbers had to belong in a specific typeface that we got to choose at the beginning of the project. I chose the font Servus Slab which was designed by Michał Jarociński. Servus Slab was named after Jarociński’s first son was born, and it represents a newborn because of its narrow and thin weight. I decided to go with the complementary colors purple and yellow for this type specimen book since the two are opposite on the color wheel and stand out against each other.
